Physical Therapist (Mobile - Southern CA)

HomeWorks Physical Therapy has an immediate need for physical and occupational therapists to conduct outpatient services in patients’ homes throughout Orange County on a per diem basis. We are specifically looking for therapists to work in South County, Anaheim/Fullerton/La Habra, and Irvine/Newport/Huntington areas.

Therapists have the freedom to set their own schedules within the workweek and are responsible for coordinating therapy sessions directly with patients based on the approved plan of care.  This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to supplement their current income or parents that need to set their schedules around school/children.

Essential functions:

• Evaluate patients’ medical histories and develop treatment plans that describe treatment strategies, purposes, and expected outcomes;
• Test and measure patients’ strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function;
• Regularly assess patients to determine effectiveness of treatment, progress of patients towards goals, and the need to modify goals and/or treatment;
• Submit progress notes and billing chart within 48 hours of appointment and a written summary report and/or discharge report at least every 10 treatment days.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current CA PT/OT license and CPR certification;
• Current personal malpractice insurance;
• Valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance as required by California state law;
• Graduate of an accredited therapy program with masters’ or doctoral degree;
• Ability to carry a 25-lb treatment table into patients’ homes and up and down stairs.
